On all stands, we were welcomed except on one, which will be surprising...
The National Veterinary School of Maisons Alfort. Its Manager, who should be used to talk about animal suffering gave me a cold shoulder...One could wonder why she was on this stand, in such a Show.
The couple respresenting the 'Editions Laroque' (he is from Bayonne, she is From Bordeaux) declared with a smile that our fight was a lost cause (?), even though our text was interesting to read...(??)
A young lady on the stand of the 'Ecole du Cheval' explained with gestures how interesting was the Portuguese bull-fighting "Art"...but changed opinion after reading the press-book, and seeing the pictures, in particular the one where a bull is wounding a horse with its horn. I beleive that the documents that I left on the desk will receive a favourable reaction.
I did this on about thirty stands, including distribution of our 'Horse Action" document.
I also took quite a few documents about associations and magazines that will be interesting to contact later on. Most people on these stands have welcomed my presence and insisted that we should send a letter to the publishers to alert the redactors.
'CAVADEOS', a magazine with 190.000 readers is one of the most important.
As a conclusion, I would say that most people having a negative attitude regarding our struggle are not informed enough, and ignore the "dark side" (is there any non-dark side when you really know it ?) of bull-fighting. This is certainly a decisive factor for our future victory.
